On the first weekend of June, 2013, hundreds of programmers, designers, data analysts, local non-profits, and community organizers gathered at the University of Massachusetts Integrated Sciences Building for the Civic Hackathon. By combining technology, data, and good intentions, Hack For Western Mass (as a part of the National Day of Civic Hacking) has done its part to encourage community involvement and partnership through technology and social media.
