Arts Night Out En Plein Air

Watch local artists showcase their en plein air painting skills at one of eight downtown locations from St. Mary's Church to Historic Northampton.

("En plein air" is a French term referring to the act of painting outdoors with natural subjects and light, made popular in the Impressionist movement.)

We are pleased to welcome Susan Barocas, David Brewster, Jeffrey Gatrall, Kathy Hession, Elizabeth Lehman, Robert Markey, Scott Prior, and Betsy Stone to Arts Night Out on Friday, July 10 from 5 - 8 p.m. (See below for exact locations of participating artists.)

We are also inviting the public to take part by providing 25 plein air watercolor kits to borrow for one hour at a time. Materials, courtesy of Chartpak, Inc., will be distributed, and demonstrations will take place at the WHMP parking area on Hampton Avenue.
