Last night Mayor David J. Narkewicz updated the City Council on his timetable for announcing the names of finalists for his pending appointment of a new Police Chief and scheduled a public reception for community members to meet them. Mayor Narkewicz will publicly release the names of Police Chief finalists on Monday, June 8, 2015 at 4:00pm.

A public reception for Northampton residents to meet the Police Chief finalists will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 6:00pm at the Northampton Police Station Community Room located at 29 Center Street in downtown Northampton.

Pending further assessments and interviews, it is the Mayor’s intention to submit to City Council the name of his appointment for Police Chief by Tuesday, June 16, 2015 for placement on its meeting agenda later that week.
