Nearly 200 Amherst High School students gathered Thursday afternoon to prepare for the upcoming musical production of Hairspray. The rendition of the Tony Award-winning musical opens this Thursday, March 5, and runs through March 7. It is directed by theater faculty member John Bechtold, with musical direction by music faculty member Anita Cooper.
