Forbes Library's long anticipated full-scale elevator installation has begun.  Workers have fenced off a slice of the parking on the east side of the building, as well as at the front entrance, and walled off the well where the new elevator unit will sit.  The work will continue for several months, during which there will be no handicapped access to the library entry.  Patrons who will have problems entering the building during this phase are encouraged to arrange delivery service by calling 587-1017.
