Habitat for Humanity House Dedication Ceremony

On Sunday, June 23, friends, family, community members and the Pioneer Valley Habitat for Humanity gathered on Belchertown Road in Amherst to celebrate the completion of the latest Habitat home - which Lesley Pinero and her children will be moving into soon. Lesley put in over 250 required "sweat equity hours" building the 2-story, 3 bedroom house alongside Habitat for Humanity volunteer build crews, all while working and going to school full time and raising 3 teenagers. She will now purchase the home with a no-interest mortgage. Through the donation of money, land, expertise and labor, Pioneer Valley Habitat for Humanity is able to build safe, decent, affordable homes in partnership with families in need.
