From the blog of the Northampton Center for the Arts- Basic Drawing with Paula Gottlieb

This is a workshop for beginners or those who want to refresh or improve upon their drawing skills. Throughout we will study basic principles of drawing: Proportion, Negative Space, Value, Perspective, Composition .
We will pay a lot of attention to how negative space can be observed
and used in drawing objects and areas of space in perspective,
especially in cases of foreshortening, as we work from still life and
landscape references. This series is appropriate for all levels but especially for beginner/intermediate levels. The fee is $160 plus basic materials.

4 sessions on Thursdays, March 14-April 4, 2:30-4:30 pm
