Have A Little Humanities - Part 1

Over the last few months I've sat down with students from Smith and Hampshire Colleges, as well as UMass Amherst, to ask them about their personal experiences with academic and career advising. Despite pursuing degrees in largely different fields of study, some being more marketable than others, all the students seemed to agree on one thing: the process of getting a job after you graduate can be an incredibly daunting task.

In the interviews you'll see here, students discuss career advising; what was helpful, what was frustrating, and what they'd like to see improved. And in the coming days, we'll hear from two advisors from the English Department at UMass Amherst about the different strategies their employing to help their students find jobs, as well as their take on what can be done moving forward.
