Nurse/Bodyworker Expands Services to Include Liposuction

NORTHAMPTON—Paula Barron, a nurse and certified lymphatic therapist, recently expanded her services and now offers liposuction that can cleanse and sculpt the human body.

Barron has been a nurse for close to 40 years and a body worker in the region for 17 years. She recently acquired an Ultrasound Liposuction machine and is offering the new service in addition to the lymphatic massage services she continues to provide.

She said the liposuction machine is a non-invasive way to sculpt the body and reduce inches as it activates the lymphatic system, decreasing triglycerides—or fat levels—in the neck, legs, abdomen, arms and buttocks. The treatment is approved by the Food and Drug administration, and Barron said it is safe, effective and painless.

Barron also provides craniosacral therapy, a light touch therapy that stimulates the flow of cranial sacral fluids; and Mayan abdominal massage, a soothing external massage that addresses gastrointestinal issues.

Barron said anyone can benefit from the liposuction, and she explained that clients must adhere to a low-fat, low-carb diet during treatment. Good candidates for liposuction are postpartum women, women who have gone through menopause, brides and grooms, people planning a vacation or anyone looking to remove inches of fat from their bodies.

A common treatment includes 75 minutes of lymphatic massage along with liposuction. “Customers can expect a quiet, discrete and spa–like atmosphere,” Barron said.

Barron is running a grand opening special through which customers may buy any package of treatments and get one treatment free. She said Saturday appointments are also available.
