Over 2,000 marches in support of climate change awareness were held in over 100 countries across the world. I was lucky enough to march alongside 400,000 others in New York City.
There were signs aplenty, calling for change in a variety of ways
There was chanting, singing, a brass band, and between the chaos was silence. We stood for minutes on end in solidarity. Fists held high. I've never before heard New York City drop dead silent as it did during those few fleeting moments.
There was a sense of community there. That no matter what, everyone was on each others side.
We all had one main goal, and that was to make a change. And I think that in that respect, we were successful.
