Clean Energy Forum, Public Welcome

Mayor Narkewicz invites you to join with your friends and neighbors at the second Clean Energy Forum (201 Forum) on Wednesday October 9, 2013 from 6:30 to 8:30 at the Northampton Senior Center. RSVP is requested by going to:https://northhampton201forum.eventbrite.com/.

At the 201 Forum, participants will review and prioritize ideas generated by community members during the first Clean Energy Forum (Forum 101). Over 90 people attended this first forum and proposed ideas on energy efficiency, renewable energy, clean transportation, clean energy storage and microgrids, waste reduction, and outreach and education. You can find a full list of these ideas at: www.northamptonma.gov/energyresources/EnergyForum/.

At the 201 Forum, we will have experts on hand to discuss pros, cons, and options for potential local project development and participants will review technical assessments of Northampton by our State partners – the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center and the Department of Energy Resources Green Communities Division.

If you have anything further to add to Northampton’s clean energy idea list, feel free to contact Northampton’s Energy and Sustainability Officer, Chris Mason at cmason@northamptonma.gov.

Please help spread the word to friends, family, and colleagues! Our state partners and I look forward to continuing this valuable discussion with you on October 9.
